David Lyle Chapman, 52
David Lyle Chapman, 52, passed away in Sagle, Idaho, on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2005.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 2, 2005, in Coffelt's Funeral Chapel. Pastors Chuck Wigton and Barry Johnson will officiate, with interment following in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
Friends may call, to pay their respects, at Coffelt Funeral Service on Thursday from noon to 6 p.m.
David was born on Nov. 14, 1953, in Rossland, British Columbia, Canada, the son of Jim and Willie Chapman.
He moved to Sagle at the age of 5 and went through the sixth grade at Sagle.
David graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1972.
He married Sally LaFore on June 23, 1973, in the Old First Christian Church in Sandpoint. He served with the U.S. Navy in Oakland, Calif., from 1973-1977.
He lived in Sagle and worked for the Chevron Bulk Plant for 12 years delivering products. He currently was employed at Interstate Concrete and Asphalt, driving dump truck.
David loved to do woodwork, collecting unique pieces of wood and creating furniture and works of art. He enjoyed fishing, feeding the deer in his yard, and his extended family which included the crew at Interstate.
He is survived by his wife, Sally Chapman of Sagle; a son, Tony Chapman of Sagle; a grandson, Jacob Chapman of Spokane, Wash.; his parents, Jim and Willie Chapman of Sagle; his father-in-law, Ben LaFore of Sandpoint; siblings, Rick (and Rainy) Chapman of Spokane, Earl (and Bobbi) Chapman of Sagle; Lynda (and Brian) Berger of Sagle and Marvin (and Cindy) Chapman of Sagle; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher, in 1980; and his grandparents.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
