| November 29, 2005 8:00 PM

Normalee Catherine Spencer, 83, went to be with the Lord on Nov. 22, 2005.

Normalee was born on Sept. 14, 1922, in Ralston, Neb., to the late Charles and Ida Smith. She married Dale Spencer in 1942 in Nebraska.

The couple moved west to California, where they resided for 30 years. They owned a masonry business which Normalee managed while raising seven children.

They moved to Sandpoint, Idaho, in 1977, where they lived on their mountain in an A-frame home which Dale and their sons built. After almost 30 years on their beautiful mountain, Normalee and Dale spent their last months at the Life Care Center of Sandpoint.

Six days after Normalee passed away, Dale went to join his beloved wife.

Normalee is survived by her children, Chuck (Toni) Spencer, Paul Spencer, Therese (Rod) Walker, Celeste Gollenberg, all of Sandpoint, Bill (Barbara) Spencer and Ted (Melissa) Spencer of Oregon, and Ed (Deb) Spencer of California; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; her brothers, Dale (Lillian) Smith, Phil (Marg) Smith, Joe (Sharon) Smith; sisters, Joan (Clyde) Gummow, Rita Christensen and Lucille (Bud) Burge. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Clyde Smith; a sister, Mary Kelp; and a grandson, Corey Gollenberg.

A memorial service for Normalee and Dale will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005, at the Sandpoint Christian Center.

The family would like to thank their mother's church friends, her special friends at Life Care and Mary Nadeja for showing their mother so much love.
