Firing nurses was a stupid decision

My husband and I were reading the Daily Bee on Tuesday, Oct. 4, and came across the guest opinion written by Linda Hess on the nurses being fired at Bonner General Hospital. My husband and I feel firing a nurse for giving blood, even if she is doing so while being paid, is stupid.
If a nurse was to be found leaving the premises without making proper arrangements to cover her station or endangering the lives of a patient while she is being paid to work, then she should be given a hearing and judged by the other nurses not someone in an office who knows nothing and thinks they know everything.
Our justice system allows that we are to be judged by our peers. To be a nurse's peer, you must be a nurse.
