Sharyn Lee Zawada, 67
Sharyn Lee Zawada, 67, passed away, Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005, in Sandpoint, Idaho, after a long battle with cancer.
Private family services have been held.
Sharyn was born on Sept. 19, 1938 in Newport, Wash., to Olaf and Dorothy (Montague) Olson. She grew up and attended schools in California and Oregon, graduating from South Salem High School in 1956. She went on to Oregon State University for two years, before entering the real estate business.
She worked mostly as a mortgage processor in Studio City, Calif.,, prior to moving to Sandpoint five years ago. In Sandpoint, she worked for Noel Hansen at White Mortgage. During her career she won several awards in her field.
She is a member of the Red Hats in Sandpoint. She loved the Oregon coast, eating fresh Dungeness crab as it came off the docks, and she treasured her grandchildren. She enjoyed being outdoors, the arts, crossword puzzles, pinochle, flying kites at the D River wayside in Lincoln City, Ore., and she had an amazing green thumb.
She is survived by her daughter, Dana "Dani" (Martin) Sutliff of Waukesha, Wis.; two sons, K. Greg Johnson of Summerlin, Nev., and Steven Johnson of Summerlin; seven grandchildren, David, Andrew, Sean, Katie, Tony, Alyssa and Marissa; a great-grandson; a sister, Judi Serlin of Henderson, Nev.; and her special aunts and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and special friend, Bob Baxter.
