| October 7, 2005 9:00 PM

HARRISON FLATS — Mike Martin threw for two touchdowns and caught another, and Bill Clayton ran for a long touchdown and threw for another as the Wampus Cats beat the Warriors in North Star League play at Kootenai High.

Clayton finished with 151 yards rushing on 15 carries, and Kyle Ruen caught four passes for 110 yards and two scores for Clark Fork (3-0 NSL, 4-2).

Kootenai (0-3, 0-6) remained winless on the season, but coach Doug Napierala has seen improvement from the Warriors each week.

"Clark Fork is solid," Napierala said. "Other than just a horrible second quarter, we played three solid quarters of football. Our kids played well."

For Kootenai, quarterback Anthony Cranford completed 13 of 29 passes for 148 yards and a TD.

Cody Kraack led the Warriors with six catches for 82 yards and a score.

Kootenai travels to play Lakeside next Friday.
