Support team's effort
to help local youth
I hear many business people say how hard it is to find "good" employees — especially from the younger people looking for work. Perhaps, we employers need to get interested in today's youth coming into the job market. Before they knock on our door or call us, let's help them in those areas we see lacking. The motivation, skill, training, goals and good character in today's youth can be strengthened and encouraged.
The "Strength Team" is coming to school assemblies in our local areas whose goal is not only to show strength and fitness but also how to achieve success by making wise choices regarding drugs and alcohol abuse, strengthening self-esteem and building strong character and abilities. They inspire our youth toward having and attaining goals and dreams and provide needed encouragement for our guys and gals.
As employers of today's youth, let's get behind this powerful team of men and support their efforts. Our youth are worth it. In addition, our local businesses will profit by getting motivated employees, and our city will profit by having goal-oriented youth without time on their hands.
