Laurine Paulus, 59

| October 21, 2005 9:00 PM

Laurine Paulus passed away peacefully walking into eternity with her Lord Jesus on Oct. 19, 2005, at the age of 59.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2005, at the Community Fellowship Church in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed enough to know her. She always had a humble, meek spirit and who always put others first. Her agenda in life was to take care of her family, whom she loved so deeply.

She has been such a great example of God's love to all who knew her. Blessed are the peacemakers for theirs is the kingdom of heaven … and there was no greater peacemaker than Laurine Paulus. A kind, gentle woman, who was so great and strong until the end. She never complained, even through all the pain. She cooked dinner for her family and hosted her grandson's birthday dinner Sunday night as he asked his beautiful girlfriend to marry him.

Laurine was a caring daughter, a Proverbs 31 wife, a loving mother, the best grandmother, a kind sister and a true friend. She truly was a vessel of God, used with the gift of love.

Her wisdom of life she wrote to us was always love your spouse, children and parents. Be a family person and you will always be happy. Read the Bible, go to church and put God first. God loves us all.

Coinci-dentally, Laurine used to run fund-raisers for the hospice program for many years. In the end, hospice along with doctors working with them, made her journey to eternity a peaceful, comfortable, loving experience in her home with all her family. How could we ever thank you for all your love, comfort and support. You have made a difference in so many lives.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, James Paulus; her parents, Helen and Gerald Watkins; her son, James Paulus II; her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Clay Simmons; her grandchildren, Jason and Amy Simmons, Shannon Simmons, and Kyle Paulus; brothers and sisters, Paula and Eugene Elsasser, Alan and Sandra Elsasser, Roberta and Art Agulara, Marlene and David Duran; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Christy Kenz; and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Coffelt Funeral Services of Sandpoint.
