Helen Bernice Kirschbaum, 76

Helen Bernice Kirschbaum, 76, passed away in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, on Monday, Oct. 24, 2005.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31, 2005, in the Coffelt Funeral Service chapel. Pastor Darryn Hewson, Sandpoint United Methodist Church, will officiate with interment in Pinecrest Memorial Park.

Helen was born in Walker, Minn., on April 29, 1929, and graduated from high school in Bimidji, Minn., in 1946. She moved to the Bull River area, near Heron, Mont., and married Francis Kirschbaum on April 28, 1947.

She lived in the Noxon, Mont., area until moving to Sandpoint in 1962. For many years, she worked in the Bonner General Hospital housekeeping department. She later retired, and for health reasons, moved to Coeur d'Alene in 2000.

She was a member of the Sandpoint United Methodist Church. She enjoyed participating in senior citizen's programs and activities. She loved to travel and spend time visiting with her family and her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Bernard "Ben" Kirschbaum of Plains, Mont.; her daughter, Rosemary Topp of Post Falls, Idaho; four grandchildren, Richard Topp Jr. of Post Falls, Greg Topp of Post Falls, Shamus Kirschbaum of Ft. Hood, Texas, and Roxann Kirschbaum of Salt Lake City, Utah; and a sister, Dolly Mader of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and by three daughters, Sharon, Sandra and Beverly.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Coffelt Funeral Service of Sandpoint.
