Sidney L. Lunden, 86,

Sidney L. Lunden, 86, entered into his eternal rest suddenly on Oct. 23, 2005, of an aneurism in Boise, Idaho.

Viewing and visitation were held on Friday Oct. 28, 2005, from noon until 5 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005, at 1 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home with interment to follow at Fairmount Memorial Park

Sidney was born on Nov. 9, 1918, in Sisters, Ore., to Gust and Leona Lunden. He graduated from Rogers High School and Gonzaga University with a degree in mechanical engineering.

He served as a master sergeant in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II as a plane inspector.

He married the love of his life Dorothy Fenimore on Sept. 1, 1945. He owned and operated Lunden Industries in the Spokane Valley for many years. He designed and manufactured Lumber Stacking Equipment and held 13 patents, known worldwide.

Sidney and Dorothy spent the last 17 years traveling to Arizona for the winter.

He was a member of the A.S.M.E. and enjoyed golf and woodcarving.

Sidney is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Dorothy; a son, Jim (Jocelyn); daughters, Barb (Jim) all of Connell, Wash.; Evelyn (Len) Bradford, Ginny (Norm) Sears and Bev (Lucky) Butler, all of Spokane; sisters, Laura Titus and Frances Kelly; and nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
