PUBLIC NOTICE

The Bonner County Commissioners are seeking applications from citizens who are interested in the planning and development of Bonner County and who would like to serve on the county's Planning & Zoning Commission.

While any Bonner County resident who has lived in the county a minimum of two years is eligible to serve, the Board is especially interested in hearing from citizens living in the general areas of Priest Lake/Priest River and residents of Commission District #1, which is generally the Sagle, Westmond, Careywood and south-central area of Bonner County. Currently the Planning and Zoning Commission is comprised of residents from Sagle, Oden Bay, west Sandpoint and Blanchard.

The Planning & Zoning Commission conducts at least one public hearing and one special meeting a month. Occasionally, the Commission may schedule an additional public hearing to handle the increase in land use applications or items needing special attention, such as comprehensive plan work or ordinance updates.

Terms are from three to six years.
