William 'Bill' Potter, 43

William "Bill" Potter, 43, passed away on Sept. 3, 2005, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

A memorial service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. Dennis C. Day officiating.

Bill was born on Dec. 29, 1961, in Renton, Wash., to William and Shirley Potter. He grew up and attended schools in Enumclaw, Wash. As a young man he began to work on cars, and became a good mechanic. Most recently, he worked for Evergreen Towing in Sandpoint.

In 1982, Bill Met Lila Cox and the couple raised two children. In 2003 Bill moved to Sandpoint.

He enjoyed everything about cars from working on them to racing and collecting classics.

He is survived by his wife, Lila Cox of Sandpoint; a daughter, Desirae Cox of Sandpoint; two sons, Jason (Leta) Cox of Sandpoint and Nathan Cox of Sandpoint; his mother, Shirley Lewis of Twisp, Wash.; and a brother, Ed (Donna) Potter of Puyallup, Wash.
