Howard Leroy Sexton, 84, passed away, Friday, Sept. 2, 2005, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Visitation for family and friends will be today, Wednesday, Sept. 7, from 9-5 p.m. at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.

Howard was born on July 18, 1921, in Penfield, Pa., the forth of six children born to Frank and Estella Sexton. He attended Penfield schools, and in 1939 entered the United States Army. Howard served his country in the Pacific Campaign and the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1953.

Howard served his career with the Job Corps in the Four Corners area. After retiring he moved to Sandpoint and built his home in about 1969. Howard just married Marjorie Nelson on August 28, 2005 in Sandpoint.

Howard is a member of Masonic Lodge, Toppenish-Meridian No. 178, Scottish Rite Valley of Yakima, and the Shriner's. He enjoyed fishing, fixing things, and tinkering in his shop.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Nelson-Sexton of Sagle, Idaho; a son, Tom Sexton of Crestwood, Ky.; a daughter, Judith Gibbs of Jeffersonville, Ind; and a sister, Mae Assalone of Penfield, Pa.
