AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PONDERAY, BONNER COUNTY, IDAHO, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE STATE OF IDAHO, ENTITLED "THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2005"; APPROPRIATING $1,260,609.00 TO DEFRAY THE EXPENSES AND LIABILITIES OF THE CITY OF PONDERAY, IDAHO, FOR SAID YEAR PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF IDAHO CODE; LEVYING A SUFFICIENT TAX UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN SAID CITY FOR GENERAL REVENUE PURPOSES FOR WHICH SUCH APPROPRIATION IS MADE; PROVIDING FOR A COPY OF THIS ORDINANCE TO BE FILED WITH THE BONNER COUNTY COMMISSIONERS; AND, PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION OF THIS ORDINANCE.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PONDERAY, BONNER COUNTY;

SECTION 1.00: The sum of $1,260,609.00 being and is hereby appropriated to defray the necessary and proper expenses and liabilities of the City of Ponderay, Bonner County, Idaho, for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2005.

SECTION 2.00: The objects and purposes for which such appropriations are made are as follows:

Wages and Benefits $ 330,161.00

Other Law Enforcement Expense 65,057.00

Capital Expenditures 500.00

TOTAL LAW ENFORCEMENT $ 395,718.00

TOTAL GENERAL FUND EXPENSE $ 717,351.00

Streets:

Wages and Benefits $ 26,226.00

Other Street Expense 517,032.00

TOTAL STREET FUND EXPENSE $ 543,258.00

TOTAL EXPENDITURES - ALL FUNDS $1,260.609.00

SECTION 3.00: For the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2005, as set forth herein, the Ponderay City Council has determined and hereby certifies to the Bonner County Commissioners that the total amount of monies required and necessary to be raised from taxes on all property within the corporate limits of the City of Ponderay for all purposes for the fiscal year October 1, 2005, through September 30, 2006, in the amount of $490,311.00.

SECTION 4.00: The provisions of this Ordinance are hereby declared to be severable. If any provision of this Ordinance or the application of such provision to any person or circumstance is declared invalid for any reason, such declaration shall not effect the validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance.

SECTION 5.00: This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force upon its passage, approval and publication in at least one issue of the Bonner County Daily Bee, a newspaper of general circulation and hereby declared to be the official newspaper for the publication of this Ordinance.

Passed under suspension of the rules upon which a roll call vote was taken and duly enacted as an Ordinance of the City of Ponderay, Idaho, at a regular session of the City Council of the City of Ponderay held on September 6, 2005.
