Bulldogs do just enough to blank Boise 2-0

BOISE — Sandpoint came out a little nervous and with tired legs but played well enough to blank the Boise Braves 2-0 Friday afternoon.

In what coach Randy Thoreson described as an ugly game, Brandon Eddy and Chase Lowther were able to net a couple of balls in the second half to take the game.

As usual, the defensive back four was able to control the game.

"Kyle Van Dyk had a super game," said Thoreson. "He cleaned up anything and everything was was even near a problem."

The Bulldogs left Sandpoint at 3 a.m and it showed a little on the field.

"We weren't sharp, and our passing game was sloppy,"said Thoreson. "But I'll take an ugly win over a pretty loss anytime.

The Bulldogs play a solid 7-0 Nampa team today at noon.
