Bulldogs, CV tie

| September 19, 2005 9:00 PM

The Bulldog girls came out on fire Monday afternoon taking an early lead and then battling to a respectable 1-1 tie at Central Valley.

"The first 15 minutes was some of the best soccer we've played all year," said coach Ed Bock. "We've still got to many peaks and valleys, a little inconsistent at times."

Sarah Krabacher had an outstanding game in the net making numerous tough saves, including a ball heading for the upper-left corner of the goal that she went vertical and sideways at the same time to stop.

Considering that Central Valley beat Mead 2-0, and Sandpoint lost at Mead 2-0, a 1-1 tie is nothing to be too disappointed about.

The Bulldogs (3-4-2) head south to take on Coeur d'Alene this Thursday.
