Grace Geraldine Hamilton, 93, passed away in Sandpoint, Idaho, on March 30, 2006.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2006, in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
Grace was born in Summersville, Mo., on Feb. 7, 1913, where she graduated from high school. She married Floyd Hamilton on Feb. 15, 1930, in Summersville and moved to Clark Fork, Idaho, in 1932, where he husband worked for the U.S. Forest Service.
She worked for JC Penney's, Anthony's and Sprouse Ritz in Sandpoint prior to moving to Spokane, Wash., in 1956. In Spokane, she worked as a sales clerk in the yardage department of Singer's Sewing. In 1990, she moved back to Sandpoint.
She was a member of the Dishman Baptists Church in Spokane and a former member of the Ladies of the Moose. She enjoyed crocheting, winning a purple ribbon at the Bonner County Fair. She also raised flowers and liked a good game of pinochle.
She and her husband, Floyd, celebrated 60 years of marriage in 1990.
She is survived by a daughter, Joan Sexton of Sandpoint; two grandchildren, Roxanne Fuller of Sandpoint and Gary Hull of Sandpoint; four great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Juanita (Bob) Wuertley of Riverton, Wyo., Bessie Smith of West Plains, Mo., and Jean (John) Ailes of Winter Park, Fla. She was preceded in death by a daughter, her husband, two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of Coffelt Funeral Service of Sandpoint.
