Joey Lovell sizzles in Moscow
MOSCOW — Coeur d'Alene High captured top honors at the Moscow Invitational on Tuesday at the University of Idaho Golf Course.
Sandpoint's Joey Lovell posted his best round of the season, carding a one-over par 73 and missing medalist honors by one stroke.
"He was much more consistent," said Bulldogs' coach Mike Keough of Lovell. "He felt like he could have gone lower. I think he was pleased with a 73, I know I was."
Wyatt Pearson shot an 89 as the Bulldogs finished in eighth place overall. More importantly, they finished only two shots behind Post Falls, their chief competition for the second 4A state berth behind Moscow.
