NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Bonner County Planning and Zoning Commission will hold public hearings at the following times on Thursday, May 4, 2006, in Courtroom 4 of the Bonner County Courthouse, 215 S. First Avenue, Sandpoint, Idaho, to consider the following requests:

5:30 P.M. - FILE #AM90-06 - ORDINANCE AMENDMENT - TITLE 12 - FIRE PROTECTION STANDARDS - BONNER COUNTY is initiating an amendment to its land use codes, Title 12, Bonner County Revised Code, Chapter 23, Section 12-2305 (design criteria for all subdivisions) to require a fire protection plan and fire suppression measures be provided by the developer when subdividing land in unincorporated Bonner County. The fire plan would include an assessment of fire risk and plans to create defensible space in future subdivisions. Fire suppression measures such as hydrant systems, individual water tanks, residential fire sprinkler systems, dry hydrants and natural or manmade water sources or other methods, as determined by the respective fire districts or Bonner County where no fire districts exist, are included as options for fire suppression in the proposed ordinance. Copies of the proposed ordinance are available at the Bonner County Planning Department for review.

6:30 P.M. - FILE #AM91-06 - ORDINANCE AMENDMENT - TITLE 12 - PRIVATE ROAD STANDARDS - BONNER COUNTY is initiating an amendment to its land use codes, Title 12, Bonner County Revised Code, Chapter 23, Section 12-2305 (design criteria for all subdivisions) to establish minimum standards for private roads being developed for subdivisions within unincorporated Bonner County. The standards would establish minimum widths, surface types, grades and other road building standards for future subdivision roads. The minimum standards would be based upon the future road's projected traffic volumes and zoning density. Copies of the proposed ordinance are available at the Bonner County Planning Department for review.

Please contact the Bonner County Planning Department the day before the scheduled hearings to verify if these items will be heard on the date and at the time specified or continued to another date and time.
