Eugene came to Earth July 31, 1939 in Caldwell, Idaho, grew up in the Round Valley and the Boise, Idaho area. Following his military service, he worked in drywall construction and later became partners with his son, Gene. Their work took them to Boise and Sun Valley, Idaho, New Orleans, Chicago, and as far as New York, always returning home to Boise.

He married Cozann Sudduth on December 8, 1956 in Winnemucca, Nev. and would have celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary this year.

They moved to an old homestead in Heron, Mt. in 1976 and raised his younger daughter and grandchildren there. He worked at Condo del Sol, Schweitzer Mountain Resort in Sandpoint and Pend Oreille Shores in Hope, Idaho for a few years until illness forced his retirement.

Eugene had a kind soul and loved his family and friends very much. He loved life, traveling, partying and having fun, which he was very good at it. He always said, "I want to be remembered with fun and laughter or don't remember me at all." He also wished to have his ashes scattered on the family farm along his son's.

Ann Erickson, both of Hungry Horse, and Kaystal Search of Boise; great-grandsons, Michael and Alex Bell of Hungry Horse, and Elijah and & Keanan Search of Portland; and a sister, Helen Uehlin of Dallas, Ore.
