Jenny Josephine Guthrie Compton

Jenny Josephine Guthrie Compton passed away Aug. 9, 2006, in Edmonds, Wash.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2006, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 630 Seventh Ave. N, Edmonds, Wash. There will be a reception following the Mass. Internment services will be at Edmonds Cemetery.

A memorial service will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Sandpoint, Idaho, on Sept. 2, 2006 at 11 a.m.

Jenny was born Jan. 13, 1972, at Bonner General Hospital in Sandpoint. She attended elementary and middle school and graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1990. She then attended the University of Idaho and North Seattle Community College.

Jenny has lived in the Seattle area since moving there in 1992.

She began her illustrious career at Dubs and Serv-a-Burger in Sandpoint, then moved to Seattle. She then worked on processing boats for Icicle Seafoods out of Dutch Harbor, Alaska. She then worked for WG Clark Construction in Seattle as a carpenter apprentice and bartender. At the time of her death she was employed with Bullivant, Houser and Bailey PC, as a well-respected legal secretary.

Jenny and Doug Compton were married on Aug. 6, 2005, in Edmonds.

The couple had just happily celebrated their one year anniversary. Jenny, Doug, Hayden, and Tiani enjoyed golfing, hanging out with their dogs, and spending time with family.

Jenny and family enjoyed traveling to her favorite destinations which included Mexico, Canada, Las Vegas, Palm Springs & Europe and numerous family trips to Disneyland.

Jenny's quick wit and wicked sense of humor kept all those who knew her on their toes. She had a special way to keep people together and celebrate life. She will be truly missed.

She is survived in death by her husband, Doug; her daughter, Tiani; stepson, Hayden Compton; her parents, Joe and Ruth Guthrie of Dover, Idaho. She is also survived by sisters, Marie and Jim Coffelt of Mill Creek Wash., Lori and Dave Hall, Meridian, Idaho, and Teresa and Ryan Meyer, Lynnwood, Wash.; brother John, of Lynnwood; two nieces Tessa and Lexie; three nephews Ben, Preston and Mason; and several beloved aunts, uncles and cousins throughout the United States and Canada.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Coffelt Funeral Service of Sandpoint.
