Bobby Jene Cox, 79, passed away in Encinitas, Calif., on Monday, Aug. 21, 2006.

Memorial services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 8, 2006, at the Masonic Lodge In Sandpoint, Idaho.

Bobby was born in Cairo, Neb., on Oct. 16, 1926, the son of Richard W. and Ocy Ola (Ooley) Cox. He came to live in the Sandpoint area in 1975, where he continued his passion for construction, designing and building homes. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and traveling in his RV.

He was an active member of the Masonic Lodge in Lomita, Calif., and Sandpoint as well as the Shriners and Eastern Star..

Bobby is survived by his wife, Nita Bryant-Cox; one brother, Richard W. Cox Jr.; and one sister, Betty Jane Strand (his twin); three children, Barry Cox of Sandpoint, Idaho, Randall Cox of Los Angeles, Calif., and Lora Fedak of Hope, Idaho; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of more than 40 years, Mary Cox, and one sister, Bertha Martini.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Shriners Hospital.
