FACILITIES RESERVE FUND LEVY ELECTION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, pursuant to Idaho Code S 33-804, and Resolution No. 06-09 of the Board of Trustees of Lake Pend Oreille School District No. 84, of Bonner County, Idaho, (the "District"), adopted on June 27, 2006, a school plant facility tax levy election will be held on
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2006
between the hours of 7:00 o'clock A.M. and 8:00 o'clock P.M. for the purpose of enabling the qualified and registered voters of the District to vote on the question of authorizing the Board of Trustees of the District to certify a special tax for each of the two (2) years commencing on January 1, 2007 through December 31, 2008, inclusive, in addition to all other amounts certified, in the amount of $6,288,283 for each year, for the purpose of expanding Kootenai Elementary School; acquiring equipment for technology, food service, and heating ventilation and cooling of school facilities; and the acquisition of school buses and transport vehicles, and providing certain other related improvements, including site improvements and costs of financing said improvements.
The question to be submitted to the electors shall be by ballot reading substantially as follows:

SHALL THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF LAKE PEND OREILLE SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 84 BE AUTHORIZED, PURSUANT TO SECTION 33-804, IDAHO CODE, TO CERTIFY, FOR THE TWO (2) YEARS COMMENCING ON JANUARY 1, 2007, THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2008, INCLUSIVE, A SPECIAL TAX LEVY IN EXCESS OF ALL OTHER AMOUNTS CERTIFIED, IN THE AMOUNT OF $6,288,283 FOR EACH SUCH FISCAL YEAR, AS A SPECIAL PLANT FACILITIES RESERVE FUND LEVY FOR THE PURPOSE OF EXPANDING KOOTENAI ELEMENTARY SCHOOL; THE ACQUISITION OF SCHOOL BUSES AND TRANSPORT VEHICLES; ACQUIRING EQUIPMENT FOR TECHNOLOGY, FOOD SERVICE, AND HEATING AND CONTROL SYSTEMS FOR SCHOOL FACILITIES; AND PROVIDING SITE AND RELATED IMPROVEMENTS AND PAYING RELATED COSTS FY2007 FY2008 TOTAL

INSTRUCTIONS TO VOTERS: To vote on the foregoing proposition, please make a cross (X) or other mark in the space to the right of the words "LEVY, YES" or "LEVY, NO" according to how you wish to vote. If, by mistake or accident, you mark, tear, deface or otherwise mutilate or spoil the ballot, please return it to an election judge and obtain another ballot.
Qualified electors shall vote at the following polling places:
Clark Fork: Clark Fork Jr./Sr. High School
Hope: Hope Elementary School
Kootenai: Kootenai Elementary School
Northside: Northside Elementary School
Sagle: Sagle Elementary School
Sandpoint: Sandpoint High School
Sandpoint: Farmin Stidwell Elementary School

Southside: Southside Elementary School
Only qualified and registered electors eighteen (18) years of age or older who are United States citizens who have resided in the State of Idaho and in the District for at least thirty (30) days next preceding the election, and no others, will be permitted to vote at said special election. No person so qualified and registered and offering himself or herself at a polling place at which he or she is entitled to vote will be denied the privilege of voting at said special election.
Any person who is eligible to vote may register on election day by appearing in person at a polling place established for the election, by completing a registration card, making an oath on the form prescribed by law, and providing proof of residence in the manner provided by Section 34-408A Idaho Code, as amended.
Any qualified and registered elector of the District who expects to be absent from the District on the date of election or who will be unable, because of physical disability or blindness, to go to the polling place, may vote by absentee ballot in the manner provided by Idaho Code Section 33-406, as amended.
If at least fifty-five percent (55%) of the qualified electors voting at the special election vote in favor of the additional tax levy as set forth in the ballot question, the Board of Trustees of the District will certify the additional tax levy in the amount of $6,288,283 for each of the next two succeeding tax years of the District to the Board of Commissioners of Bonner County, Idaho.
