Jenny Josephine Guthrie Compton, 34

Jenny Josephine Guthrie Compton was born Jan. 13, 2006, at Bonner General Hospital in Sandpoint, Idaho. She passed away suddenly on Aug. 9, 2006, at her home in Edmonds, Wash.

A memorial service will be held in Sandpoint at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2006, with Father Dennis C. Day and Father Timothy J. O'Donovan officiating.

Funeral services were held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Edmonds, Wash. Interment took place at Edmonds Memorial Cemetery in Edmonds.

Jenny had worked at Dub's Drive-In and Serv-A-Burger in Sandpoint. She attended local schools and graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1990. Jenny attended the University of Idaho, Boise State University, North Seattle Community College and Edmonds Community College.

Jenny moved to Seattle in 1992. She worked for Icicle Seafoods in Dutch Harbor, Alaska, as a carpenter apprentice for WG Clark Construction Company in Seattle and as a bartender in Lynnwood, Wash.

In 2002 Jenny moved to Boise, Idaho, to be a nanny for her sister, Lori and Dave Hall for a year and a half.

At the time of her death she was employed as a legal secretary for the law firm of Bullivant, Houser and Bailey in Seattle.

Jenny and Ron William's daughter, Tiani Josephine was born on Dec. 26, 1996, in Seattle.

By the time she was 5 months old, Tiani had three heart surgeries. Jenny was a loving, devoted mother; Tiani was the pride and joy of her life.

Jenny was a courageous, adventurous person who enjoyed traveling to British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Oakland, Disneyland and Mexico. Edinburgh, Scotland was her favorite place on the trip she and friend, Chrissy took to England, Scotland and Ireland.

Jenny and Doug Compton were married on Aug. 6, 2005, in Edmonds, Wash. They had just celebrated their first anniversary. Jenny, Doug, Hayden and Tiani enjoyed their home, their dogs, and trips to Las Vegas and Palm Springs.

Jenny is survived by her husband, Doug; her daughter Tiani; her stepson Hayden Compton; her parents, Joe and Ruth Guthrie of Dover, Idaho; her sisters, Marie and Jim Coffelt of Bothell, Wash., Lori and David Hall, Meridian, Idaho, and Teresa and Ryan Meyer of Lynnwood, Wash.; and a brother, John Guthrie of Lynnwood, Wash. She is also survived by nieces, Tessa Coffelt and Lexie Hall; nephews Ben Coffelt, Preston Coffelt, Mason Hall and numerous beloved aunts, uncles and cousins in the United States and Canada.

Jenny always celebrated life and treasured her family. She will be forever missed.
