Is community a victim of gasoline price fixing?

I agree with Mr. Len Golding's letter in the Dec. 5 paper. It seems incredible to me that gasoline in California (which has a special blend for air quality purposes) could cost less right now than gas in Sandpoint.
I, for one, am going to travel south about 25 minutes where the gas is cheaper and do my Christmas shopping there while I'm at it. Does the term "price fixing" come to anyone else's mind as well?
