Clark Fork drops Stillwater, 62-28

CLARK FORK — Crisp passing and solid team defense were the keys as Clark Fork played their best game of the season, dropping Stillwater Christian 62-28 in non-league action Monday night in Clark Fork.

Rayna Allen led the Cats (2-5) with 28 points and seven steals, doing most of her damage on the fast break, many of which she created for herself. Mandy Martin added 10 points and eight rebounds and as she controlled the paint.

"She stepped up," said Cats' coach Dexter Vogel of his sophomore post. "She started boxing out and played really well under the basket."

The entire starting five for Clark Fork had great nights. Megan Hess had a team-high 11 rebounds to go with five points, Shaina Gustafson had seven steals, and Bailey Hewitt a double-double with 15 points and 10 assists while keeping the offense flowing.

"She did a great job of moving the ball around the floor tonight," said Vogel. "I told her she did exactly what we want her to do."

Nicole Danz scored eight to lead Stillwater Christian, from Kalispell, Mont.

Clark Fork hosts Kootenai in a North Star League clash tonight at 6 p.m.
