| December 18, 2006 8:00 PM

Flora Darlene "Flo" Elliot (Flo), 79, of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away at Kootenai Memorial Hospital, on the morning of Dec. 16, 2006.

Flora was the daughter of the late Warren Willard Graham and Emma Sara (Dart) Graham, and wife of her loving husband of 60 years, George Frank Elliot.

Flora was born in Spirit Lake, Idaho, on Sept. 13, 1927. Flora grew up in Edgemere, Idaho, and attended elementary school there.

Flora spent two years attending high school in Spirit Lake before graduating from Sandpoint High in 1946.

Flora met George at a community grange dance, and they were married on Jan. 12, 1947. They made their home in Sandpoint, Idaho, and there raised their family for the next 28 years.

In 1947, Flora began a food service career working for Joe Rogers in his food market's bakery.

After moving to Coeur d'Alene in 1975, Flora continued to work in the food service field at North Idaho College until she retired in 1990.

While employed there she received the Sterling Silver Award for her dedication and willingness to help others. Flora loved to be around young people. Her friendly smile and positive outlook on life made her a favorite at the college.

Outside of work Flora's interest included quilting, reading, gardening (mainly flowers), cooking and camping.

Flora and George were members of the "Lake City Sams Too" RV club and spent many wonderful years camping with their friends. Flora's most treasured times were those spent with family.

Yearly reunions with brothers, sisters, spouses and all the kids were truly a joy for her. Flora and her siblings had an appreciation and zest for life that was infectious. Flora would always greet you and say goodbye with her trademark smile.

While Flora was not outspoken in her faith it was quite apparent to all of us that she maintained a deep belief in her savior, Jesus Christ.

Flora is survived by her husband George; three children and a special nephew, Gary and wife Lola, Larry and wife Judy, Carla and husband Ernie Bratley, and David Dillon and wife Linda; seven grandchildren, David, Kara, Deanna, Krista, Joshua, Jarrad and Brooke; 9 3/4 great-grandchildren; sisters, May Stauffer and June Mergenthaler; sisters-in-law, Naomi Graham, Daisy Graham, Gertrude Boggs, and Dorothy McLoughlin; and brother-in-law, James Elliot and wife Virginia
