Bulldogs fall to Vikings on pins
COEUR D'ALENE — The Coeur d'Alene High School wrestlers recorded three pins and gave up none on their way to a win over the Sandpoint Bulldogs, 33-28.
Sheldon Cramer, Joey Fio and James VanEssen each recorded major decisions, but two forfeits by the Bulldogs proved to be the difference in the match.
"The whole match was exiting," said Jeff Moffat, Coeur d'Alene coach. "We knew it would be tight."
Moffat expected to win at 123 and 145, so losses at those weights made the match very interesting.
The Bulldogs are now 5-2 in duals, with two big matches left against Lakeland and Post Falls, two of their biggest 4A rivals.
