Jean M. (Bush) Bottcher, 84
Jean M. (Bush) Bottcher, 84, passed away Jan. 30, 2006, at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee, Wash., and went home to sing with the angels.
Memorial services will be held at Memorial Christian Church, 453 East Division, Ephrata, Wash., 98823 on Friday, Feb. 3, 2006, at 1 p.m. with a reception to follow at the Ephrata Senior Center.
Jean was born Feb. 5, 1921 in Spokane, Wash., to Ned and Anna Bush. She graduated from high school in Sandpoint, Idaho.
She met and married Charles Bottcher and they moved to Ephrata in 1944.
Jean worked a variety of jobs in the area, the two most memorable being at the Darigold in Moses Lake and Ephrata Drug.
She was very active in the Ephrata Senior Center and Memorial Christian Church. She was active in the community and with the Youth United youth group co-led by Memorial Christian Church and St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, three brothers, and her beloved husband, Chuck.
She is survived by a daughter, Cherie Overcast of Chicago; a grandson, Josh Overcast, presently in Taiwan; brothers, George Bush and his wife Bobbi of Alaska, Charlie Bush of Spokane and Frank Bush of Bakersfield; a sister, Virginia Brown of South America; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The family asks that memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to the charity or organization of the giver's choice.
