Clark Fork boys to host Bonners Ferry tonight at 5 p.m.

| February 6, 2006 8:00 PM

RATHDRUM — Rayna Allen stuffed the stat sheet with 14 points, eight rebounds and seven steals as Clark Fork throttled Mullan 46-10 in the first round of the 1A District playoffs at Lakeland.

The Cats (7-12) led 4-2 after a sluggish first quarter, and struggled to find their offensive rhythm for most of the half. Tiffany Van Buren hit two three-pointers to start the third quarter and Bailey Hewitt added another to blow the game open.

Fawn Story led the Tigers (1-18) with six points in the loser-out game.

The Cats will play Kootenai tonight for the third time this season having lost the previous two meetings.

"We'll need to play better than we did tonight," said Cats' coach Mark Stevens. "Hopefully the third time is the charm. We've got to keep Cassie Scheffelmaier under control, she makes everything happen for them. We need to shoot well to have a chance."

Tip-off is at 7:45 p.m. at Lakeland.
