Cats fall to Warriors

RATHDRUM — It was like deja-vu all over again as Cassie Schefflemier torched the Clark Fork girls for 25 points and Kootenai jumped out early and then held off the Cats 51-38 in the second round of the 1A district tournament.

Tiffany Van Buren led the Cats (6-13) with 10 points, and Rayna Allen added nine as the Cats were unable to come back from a 35-17 half time deficit. They were able to outscore the Warriors (16-5) in the second half as their comeback fell short.

Clark Fork plays in a loser out game against Lakeside on Thursday at 6 p.m.
