Jacob 'Jack' Graeber

Jacob "Jack" Graeber went home to his Lord and Savior on Feb. 7, 2006, following a noble battle with pancreatic cancer.

He passed surrounded by his loving family at home in Hidden Valley Lake, Calif.

A funeral service will be held at the First Lutheran Church of Lucerne at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11. Interment will be Feb. 13 at 2 p.m. at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens in Grants Pass, Ore.

Jack was born Dec. 10, 1951, in Spokane, Wash., to Harry and Norma Graeber. He graduated from Clark Fork High School in Clark Fork, Idaho, and went on to graduate from the University of Idaho in 1974.

Jack married Mary Francis on April 15, 1978.

Jack spent 27 years by Unocal Corporation. He was a mechanical engineer at the San Francisco Refinery, Parachute Oil Shale Facility in Colorado and Beaumont Terminal in Nederland, Texas.

He has been a landlord for 27 years.

He returned to California with Calpine Geysers in 2000, where he worked until 2003.

His passions included collecting, boating and skiing. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Lucerne.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; a daughter, Nicole; a son, Keith; and a brother, Richard.

Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
