Badgers pin Spartans

PRIEST RIVER — The Bonners Ferry Badgers were expected to take the wrestling match at Priest River Thursday night, and they met those expectations by winning 57-18. The Spartans gave four forfeits to the Badgers by not having competition in that weight bracket. Nationally ranked 152-pound Badger Adam Hall, rose to the challenge and easily defeated Garrett Lindsay.

Spartans Mitchel Grove, Dan Rasmussen and Kelly Miller all had pins for the Spartans for their only points. Priest River had some key players out and had to move a few kids up from J.V. Both J.V. squads also competed against Selkirk. The Spartans will have their last match of the season at home on Feb. 15 against Timberlake at 6 p.m.
