RATHDRUM — Having steamrolled through their competition in North Idaho with only one blemish, the Wallace Miners now set their sights on the rest of the state.

of the District 1 tournament Thursday night at Lakeland High.

Wallace (21-1) has all but one player back from last year's district title team that placed fourth at state.

"I think if we play our 'A' game, we're definitely capable of competing with the tough teams," said Wallace junior guard Lisa Carver, who hit two 3-pointers and finished with 14 points and eight rebounds. "We gained a lot more knowledge on what to expect down there."

In its first game at state, Wallace will play Raft River of Malta, the fourth-place finisher from District 4, on Wednesday at 5:15 p.m. PST at Skyview High in Nampa.

Kootenai (16-6) plays Clark Fork (8-13) on Saturday at 6 p.m. at Lakeland for second place and a trip to state. Earlier Thursday, Clark Fork eliminated Lakeside (10-13) with a 43-25 victory.
