Lorna Louise (Stotts) Howerton, 75, died at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho on Feb. 8, 2006.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 13, at English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d'Alene. Interment will be at the VFW section of Forest Cemetery.

Lorna was born on May 31, 1930 in Sagle, Idaho, to Morris P. and Florence M. (Forshey) Stotts. She was raised in North Idaho and moved to the Coeur d'Alene area in 1972.

She married Alfred Howerton in Reno, Nev. on Nov. 22, 1986. She was a hairdresser by trade and a member of Beta Sigma Phi and Hayden Eagles No. 4080. She enjoyed painting, gardening and spending time with her many friends.

Lorna is survived by a sister, Letha "Lee" Humphrey of Hayden, Idaho; two brothers, Donald Stotts of Brewster, Wash. and Richard Stotts of Coulee City, Wash.; several nieces, nephews and her very special friend Ralph Wohrle; and step-children Richard Howerton, Pamela Kleinert, James Howerton, Sherri Theander and Sher Fairbanks.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred, on April 13, 1999; and her brothers, Dean and Leonard.
