Woman arrested after van crash
SANDPOINT — A Seattle woman was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving Friday after crashing her minivan, which was filled with three children.
Gillian D. Lemley was arrested for DUI and three counts of child endangerment. She was also being sought on a misdemeanor warrant at the time of the crash.
The crash happened at 3:30 p.m. near the intersection of North Boyer Avenue and Bronx Road.
Idaho State Police said Lemley was southbound on North Boyer and attempting to onto Bronx Road. She failed to negotiate the turn and skidded off the road into a ditch.
All the occupants were wearing seat belts and air bags inside the 1999 Dodge Caravan deployed. All suffered minor injuries and were taken to Bonner General Hospital, where they were treated and later released, ISP said.
Inside the van were Ian and Aria Lemley, both 14. A third passenger, identified as 2-month-old Caleb Lemley, was in a child safety seat, according to state police.
