Spencer, others deserve thanks from taxpayers

Once again, the people of Bonner County have put to rout a misguided individual trying his best to raid our pocketbooks. Thankfully, there are a great many who take an interest in putting people like this in their place.Larry Spencer, who took it upon himself to mail out information on this taxing district, deserves a hearty vote of thanks for his oversight of the proposal. He spent many dollars to get this information out to us. There were many others who took the time to express their views on this. Well done, Bonner County.As dumb as we, collectively, sometimes are, it's still quite hard to get something this outrageous past us. I don't argue that the area is in need of a place for the kids to gather, but it should be a facility that is not a continual burden on the taxpayers.Once again, a big thank you to the voters of Bonner County.ROBERT W.
