Spend time on real issues, not on judging others
A trip to my local video store proved interesting the other day. In a conversation about how many horrible movies there were, I mentioned that I would be glad when the Oscars were over and a few good movies would come out on video. The owner let me know he wouldn't be carrying Brokeback Mountain. He was " not into alternative lifestyles."This got me to thinking. I guess there's nothing alternative about the lifestyles of chain saw murderers, or committers of genocide or men who drive around California drinking wine or bank robbers or people abandoned in airports because their country no longer exists or drug smugglers or hit men or creatures from outer space. Well, you get the picture. What nonsense! I suppose the next thing he'd have been telling me is that God doesn't approve of gay men. I don't know about your God, but my God does not approve of murdering people with chain saws. Nor does my God approve of us judging others.Seems to me, with so much wrong in this country, there are things we could be more concerned with then who loves who and how. Seems to me, it would be more productive for us to be concerned with the hard working people in this country that are poor and getting poorer. Seems to me it would be more productive for us to be concerned with the condition of the air we breath and the water we drink. God would approve.PARISE WHITLEYCareywood
