RATHDRUM — A day after No. 3 Clark Fork (12-11) upset No. 2 Mullan, the luck of the Wampus Cats had run out.

On Friday at Lakeland High School, Clark Fork fell to No. 1 Post Falls Christian (19-0), 45-34, setting up a rematch against the Tigers tonight at 4 p.m. While Mullan holds a 2-1 lead in the season series, Clark Fork coach Brian Powell said this is the only contest that matters.

"For both teams, it's that chance to get to state," he said. "This game is not only important for this year's program but for the young kids — it's important for them to experience that too."

Mike Martin paced the Cats with 10.
