NOTICE OF HEARING

The Kootenai-Ponderay Sewer District's governing board will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, January 31st, 2006 in the office/meeting room at 511 Whiskey Jack Road at 5:00 PM, for the purpose of hearing public comments regarding proposed fee increases for new user facility fees for future users of the system. All interested persons are invited to attend. These proposed increases are projected to be beyond the limits prescribed by Idaho Statute Title 63, Chapter 1311(a). The reasons for these actions are that new user facility fees need to be increased to pay a share of the existing system, and to fund capacity costs for improvements needed to serve users without reserved capacity and a portion of replacement and repair values. The fee for property owners who have already paid for reserved capacity is proposed to increase from $4015.00 to $4350.00 for each single-family resident equivalent (SFR). For capacities not paid or reserved, a system development charge for each SFR capacity is proposed to be approximately $7500.00. Written Comments must be submitted to the Kootenai-Ponderay Sewer District prior to the scheduled hearing either by mailing to P.O. Box 562 - Kootenai, ID 83840, or delivering to the District office at 511 Whiskey Jack Road. Additional information is available at the District office, or by calling 263-0229.
