Lakeland sweeps Bulldogs in IEL

LAKELAND — Bridgitt Bohannon had 15 points and eight rebounds in leading Lakeland to a physical 56-34 Inland Empire League win over Sandpoint on Friday night.

Kendal Burt led the Bulldogs (6-10, 2-6) with 14 points and seven rebounds, and Emily Taylor added three points to go with her seven boards.

Lakeland (4-9, 0-7) jumped out early and never let the Bulldogs close the gap before blowing it open late in the game.

"It was a rough contest; play was allowed to get pretty rough," said coach Jim Alsager. "They're going to win that contest over us if they let them play that aggressive."

Sandpoint hosts Post Falls today at 4:15 p.m.
