KOOTENAI — Bonner County's Emergency Medical Service is offering cardiopulmonary resuscitation classes to the public in both Heartsaver CPR and Healthcare Provider formats.

A Heartsaver certification courses are being held on the Saturdays July 15, Sept. 16 and Nov. 18. This course includes training in CPR, first aid and use of the Automated External Debrillator (AED). The $20 certification class is open to the general public.

The Healthcare Provider CPR course is offered to healthcare professionals or those training to become healthcare professionals. The cost of the course is $25 and includes the training and a certification card. Healthcare Provider CPR will be offered on the Saturdays of August 19, October 19 and December 16.

All of the courses last from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and will take place at the Bonner County EMS station on McGhee Road in Kootenai.
