Wesley 'Wes' Williams, 57

Wesley "Wes" Williams, 57, a lifetime resident of Priest River (The Peninsula) was killed in a private sawmill accident on June 29, 2006.

A memorial service will be held at the Williams' home at 281 Hammons Rd. on The Peninsula, on Wednesday, July 5, 2006, at 6 p.m.

Wes was born in Powell, Wyo., on Feb. 24, 1949, son of Joseph and Dorothy (Hammons) Williams. At a very young age Wes and his family moved out to the Peninsula where he resided until his death.

He met Neva Jo Lee in the Priest River area and on Dec. 21, 1968. Wes and Neva were married there.

Wes worked with the operating engineers for 35 years and retired in 2004 to fulfill his lifelong dream of owning and operating a ranch. He lived his life to the fullest enjoying many things including ranching, horseback riding, hunting, fishing, four-wheeling and especially spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife Neva at their home; two daughters, Kimberly (and Albert) Williams of Spokane, Wash., and Nicole (and Randy) Lee of Coolin, Idaho; six grandchildren, Shante, Kyhre, Cheyanne, Madison, Colter and Nevaeh; three sisters, Pat (and John) Bachmann of Wylie, Texas, Sue (and Gary) Baldridge of Gainesville, Texas, and Kaye (and Ralph) Walters of Priest River, Idaho; sister-in-law Myrna Lee of Rupert, Idaho, and brother-in-law Steve Cassani of Manhattan, Mont.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Dorothy Williams; and a sister, Nancy Cassani.

Wes will be missed by all who knew him but we know he is with Jesus now. Goodbye for now, Wes, We'll see you later.
