SANDPOINT — Forty teams braved the brutal heat and unforgiving asphalt to hoop it up in the Sandpoint Shootout 3 on 3 basketball tournament Saturday at Sandpoint High School.

Teams came from Priest River, Clark Fork, Coeur d' Alene, Spokane and even Montana to compete in the one-day tournament.

Hustle, sweat and Gatorade abounded as streetball was played at its unrelenting best in the high school parking lot. Fun and sportsmanship were first and foremost as the event, which benefits SHS and SMS, continues to grow in size each year.
