Samuel 'Sam' Roe, 54

Samuel "Sam" Roe, 54, of Oldtown, Idaho passed away at his home on July 24, 2006, following a battle with cancer.

A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2006, at Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home in Newport. .

He was born Nov. 30, 1951, to Fred V. and Patricia M. (Parker) Roe. Sam graduated from Lewis and Clark High School and became a commercial truck driver for the construction industry in Washington and Idaho. For the past 20 years, Sam called North Idaho home, where he lived for his friends and his love for music. Sam's music was a gift he shared unselfishly with everyone.

Survivors include his parents; two sisters Jerri Roe of Juneau, Alaska, and Jan (and Paul) Hartsell of Spokane, Wash.; a niece, Kelsey Hartsell and a nephew, Casey Hartsell, both of Spokane. Survivors also include his loving companion Cyndi Holst of Furport, Wash.

Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home & Crematory in Newport, Wash., is in charge of arrangements
