NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Bonner County Planning and Zoning Commission will hold public hearings at the following times on Thursday, August 10, 2006, in Courtroom 4 of the Bonner County Courthouse, 215 S. First Avenue, Sandpoint, Idaho, to consider the following requests:
4:00 P.M. - FILE C850-06 - CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR A RECREATION FACILITY - TIM & CHRISTINE DICK are seeking conditional use permit approval to operate a recreation facility including tent camping, canoeing, hiking, berry picking and interpretive nature trails. The +/-22-acre site is located on Thunderbolt Drive, +/-4 miles southeast of Clark Fork in Section 18, Township 55 North, Range 3 East, B.M. The site is zoned Rural.
4:15 P.M. - FILE S1287-05 - BOX CANYON ESTATES, 2ND ADDITION - PRELIMINARY PLAT - DAVID BRIGHT is requesting to preliminary plat approval to subdivide a +/-30.92-acre parcel into six residential lots, ranging in size from +/-5.12 acres to +/-5.18 acres. The site is zoned Rural and is located off of Box Canyon Road, a private ingress/egress easement from Rapid Lightning Road, +/-16 miles northeast of the city of Kootenai in Sections 1 and 12, Township 58 North, Range 1 East.
4:45 P.M. - FILE CM822-06 - MODIFICATION OF CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT - DARREN HEGGE is seeking to modify a conditional use permit for an existing sand and gravel mine to allow for rock crushing operations. The site is zoned Agricultural and is accessed from Spirit Lake Cut-off Road, in Section 33, Township 55 North, Range 4 West, B.M. Condition #20 of the original permit prohibited crushing and blasting.
5:15 P.M. - FILE S1340-06 - IDYLLWILD - PRELIMINARY PLAT - GARY LASATER CONSTRUCTION, INC. is seeking preliminary plat approval to subdivide a +/-35.22 acre tract into 7 lots, between +/-5 and +/-5.2 acres. The site is zoned Rural, and is located off of Lakeshore Drive, +/-5 miles southwest of Sandpoint, in Section 2, Township 56 North, Range 3 West, B.M.
5:30 P.M. - FILE CM693-06 - MODIFICATION OF CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT - HARVEY / BONNER COUNTY Bonner County is initiating a modification to the conditional use permit issued for the operation of the commercial resort, Swan's Landing, in order to specify the type of visual barrier required prior to operation of the facility. The site is zoned Recreation and is described as Lot 1A of the Replat of Block 10, Lots 1-10 of Lakeside Place and Lot 6A of the Replat of Block 7, Lots 6-8, Lakeside Place. The property is located south of the Sandpoint Long Bridge and west of U.S. Highway 95 on Lakeshore Drive. Condition #13 required the applicant place a site-obscuring barrier between the inn and adjoining Lots 11 and Lot 5.
