City budget workshops are chance to speak out

People are very concerned about their property taxes.

If you live in the city of Sandpoint, this is an opportunity to learn just what services your property taxes buy you.

There will be lots of opportunity to ask questions and make comments. We want to hear from you.

The city of Sandpoint is continuing its series of four budget workshops at 5:30 p.m. in council chambers at City Hall (1123 Lake Street):

? Tuesday, Aug. 1 — fire department

? Thursday, Aug. 3 — parks and recreation and finance departments, and clerk's office

? Monday, Aug. 7 — police department
