? Former Strikers dominate U-23 tournament

A U-23 team made up primarily of former Striker players won the Rob Myslik Memorial Tournament in Missoula last weekend. Their goalie, Vitto Higgins, is currently the starting goalkeeper at Gonzaga and he never allowed a goal in the tourney.

Leading the way was Halvor Mikkelson, a former Striker who currently plays for the University of Vermont. Joining him were fellow Striker alums Conor Baranski, Luke Miller, Chase Mikkelsen, Jason Campbell, Pat Hoffman, Billy Mundell and Lonnie Williams.

They blanked Billings United 4-0 in the championship game, demonstrating their dominance by outscoring their opponents 23-0 throughout the tourney. Their next tournament will be in Kimberly, B.C. in July.
