LEGAL NOTICE

The 2006 runsize of spring Chinook salmon to the Clearwater River will be lower than forecast, reducing fishery opportunity for the harvestable hatchery fish. Pursuant to his authority under Idaho Code Section 36-106(e)(6)(A), the Idaho Department of Fish and Game Director hereby closes the spring Chinook salmon season on June 13, in the Mainstem Clearwater River from the Railroad Bridge at Lewiston upstream to the South Fork of the Clearwater River, the North Fork of the Clearwater River, and the South Fork of the Clearwater River from its mouth upstream to the confluence of American and Red rivers.
