Assessor's office staff only following the law

I'd like to say a word in support of the Bonner County Assessor's office. I asked them where I could find comp sales for my property. Within two days, they sent me a list of nine properties — addresses, parcel numbers, selling price and sale date. It proved factually that the assessor is not arbitrarily assigning values to properties, but following the Idaho law of assessing at market value. I don't agree with the law, but now I certainly understand how my property was assessed and what data were used.
The folks at the assessor's office were very cooperative and informative, so my experience was a positive one and not at all what has been described in the media.
