James Robert 'Bob' Fox, 66

James Robert "Bob" Fox, 66, passed away on June 23, 2006,in Loveland, Colo.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2006, at First Christian Church in Loveland.

He was born April 26, 1940, the son of Albert and Alice Lenora (Brown) Fox.

Bob graduated high school in 1958 from Minturn, Colo., and attended Lamar Jr. College on a basketball scholarship. He later attended Western State College.

He was employed at Coors for many years as a marketing and sales executive.

He was a passionate, lifelong entrepreneur and small businessman with interests from grocery and liquor retailing, sports and fitness management, beverage production and distribution and lodging operations.

Bob started his work life in construction and was particularly proud of his work in the construction of Dillon Dam in Summit County.

Bob moved to Loveland in 1999. He also lived in Boise, Idaho, Breckenridge, Colo., and Lakewood, Colo.

He was an avid outdoorsman who loved trout fishing and hiking in the western United States.

Bob was an enthusiastic participant in many sports, including basketball and golf with a particular fondness for tennis.

Bob was active in local politics in the Summit County area.

He loved spending time outdoors in his childhood home of North Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his sons, Derrick Joe Fox of Temecula, Calif., and Steve (Jackie) Fox of Kenneth Square, Pa.; a brother, Dave Fox of Cales Belb, Idaho; a sister, Betty Browning of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; two grandchildren, Delaney and Bridget Fox; his companion, Vicki Biddle, and her children, Jeremy (Missy) Osteen and Amy (Harold) Aragon; and her grandchildren, Trevor, Alexandria, Trinity and Alexander.

Memorial donations in Bob's name may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy or Diabetes Association in care of Viegut Funeral Home, 1440 N. Boise Ave., Loveland, Colo., 80538.

Arrangements are under the care of Viegut Funeral Home of Loveland.
